Welcome to Amorosa-Barns!

We are based in a charming, traditional Portuguese village called Amorosa in the sunny Algarve, Portugal (300+ sunny days per year). 

Situated near to the famous Medieval town of Silves with the best preserved Moorish castle in Europe, and only a 30-minute drive away from a dozen stunning beaches, several waterparks, Zoomarine and multiple world-class golf courses.

Within the village of Amorosa, you will have easy access to:

• A good size supermarket that has all you need
• A cashpoint
• A vintage Portuguese bakery where you can get freshly baked sourdough bread on a daily basis. Fantastic when hot straight out of the oven! Or brilliant cold.
• A social club/bar/cafe with a pool table. Run by the mayor and you will not believe the prices. 

All of these places are within a 5-minute walk away, 100m-250m.

There are plenty of things to do in the Algarve all year round! Though some activities are seasonal of course.

The closest international airport is Faro Airport (FAO). 35-minute car journey. 

However, if you are planning to come by bus or train, the closest stations to us are located in the town of São Bartolomeu de Messines.

However, there is also a bus service that runs through Amorosa six days a week. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away from our place.
